1. Overview
At Truffle Nation Pastry Academy, we invest significant resources in preparing for each batch — including instructor scheduling, batch coordination, and material preparation. This policy outlines the refund entitlements based on when a cancellation is requested.
All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to info@trufflenationonline.com. Verbal or WhatsApp cancellation requests will not be processed.
2. Refund Schedule
Refunds are calculated based on the number of calendar days before the enrolled batch start date at the time of the written cancellation request.
Once a batch has commenced (i.e., the first live session has taken place), no refund will be issued regardless of the number of sessions attended or missed.
Instalment Plans
If you enrolled on an instalment plan, the above refund percentages apply to the total course fee. Any outstanding instalments due at the time of cancellation will also be cancelled and you will not be required to pay them, provided the refund entitlement has not been exceeded by amounts already paid.
3. How to Cancel
To request a cancellation and refund, please:
- Email info@trufflenationonline.com with the subject line: "Cancellation Request – [Your Full Name] – [Batch Name/Month]"
- Include your full name, registered phone number, and the reason for cancellation
- You will receive an acknowledgement email within 1 business day confirming receipt of your request
- The date and time of your email will be used to determine which refund tier applies
Cancellation requests submitted outside of business hours (Monday–Saturday, 10 AM–6 PM IST) will be recorded with the next business day's date for the purpose of applying the refund schedule.
4. Refund Process & Timeline
Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days of the cancellation being confirmed. Refunds are credited to the original payment method used at the time of enrolment:
- Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking: 5–7 business days after processing
- UPI: 2–3 business days after processing
- Bank Transfer (NEFT/IMPS): 3–5 business days after processing
- International Payments: 7–14 business days depending on the payment gateway
Please note that bank processing times are outside our control. If you have not received your refund after the stated period, contact us with your cancellation confirmation email and we will investigate.
5. Batch Transfer (Alternative to Cancellation)
Instead of cancelling, you may request a transfer to a future batch. This is often a better option if your circumstances have temporarily changed.
- One free batch transfer is allowed per enrolment if requested at least 7 days before the batch start date
- A second transfer may be granted at our discretion with a transfer fee of ₹1,000
- Transfers are subject to seat availability in the requested batch
- Batch transfers are not available once the enrolled batch has commenced
To request a transfer, email info@trufflenationonline.com with the subject line "Batch Transfer Request – [Your Full Name]".
6. If Truffle Nation Cancels a Batch
In the unlikely event that we are required to cancel a scheduled batch due to circumstances beyond our control (such as insufficient enrolments, instructor unavailability, or force majeure), we will:
- Notify all enrolled students at least 5 days in advance wherever possible
- Offer priority enrolment in the next available batch at no additional charge
- Provide a full refund if you prefer not to transfer to another batch
Truffle Nation is not liable for any consequential or indirect losses (e.g., travel costs, lost earnings) resulting from a batch cancellation.
7. Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:
- Course fees paid after the batch start date
- Any physical course kits or ingredient boxes dispatched (if applicable)
- Payment gateway or transaction fees charged by third-party processors
- Course fees for students removed from the program due to a breach of our Code of Conduct
- GST components on fees (as per Indian tax regulations)
8. Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that life can be unpredictable. In cases of serious medical emergency or bereavement, we may consider exceptions to the standard refund schedule at our sole discretion. Such requests must be:
- Submitted within 5 days of the event
- Supported by appropriate documentation (e.g., medical certificate, hospital discharge summary)
